About

Strathalbyn Garden Club

The Strathalbyn Garden Club was originally formed to bring together keen gardeners and people interested in gardening, so that their interests and information could be shared.
Since its formation in 1997, the Strathalbyn Garden Club has blossomed into a vibrant, informative, friendly and social group, meeting on regular occasions to conduct its numerous garden-related activities.
The Club is a non-profit making organisation supported by the enthusiastic efforts of the members. It's main purpose is to provide a social gathering for people interested in gardening, to exchange ideas, to conduct plant sales, to join in various garden-related activities, to travel on trips and excursions, and to be entertained and educated by guest speakers who talk on various garden-related topics.
The Club meets on the fourth Friday of each month. The monthly meetings are now held in Strathalbyn Neighbourhood Centre, 6 Parker Avenue, Strathalbyn SA.
Meetings commence at 9.30am for a 10.00am start and generally finish around noon. Morning Tea Break is held after the business part of the meeting has been concluded and the Raffle has been completed.
A guest speaker gives a presentation on a gardening-related topic at most meetings. Also, any member may give a talk of up to 15 minutes on any gardening topic of interest.
